IMPORTANT NOTE: The RMC supports connection with single-port devices, but the daisy-chain is
limited to two devices as the single-port device does not have additional ports to connect other
devices. With multi-port devices such as other RMCs or XIOs, the daisy-chain can include more
than 2 devices.

Procedure to configure 1 Network mode

To configure the RMC-100 as a 2-port switch (1 Network mode):
1.
Connect the Ethernet cable from the RMC to the network communication equipment (hub,
switch, router, etc.).
2.
Verify the Ethernet port LED is green (the network Ethernet link is on).
3.
Start PCCU on the laptop.
4.
Configure the network parameters:
a.
Select Communications on the PCCU navigation tree. The Communications Setup tab
displays.
Select the Networking tab

Verify that the Ethernet Mode is set to 1 Network (default).
d.
Verify that the Ethernet interface State is set to Enable.
If using DHCP for dynamic addressing, set DHCP to Enable.
e.
f.
If using static addresses (recommended), type each of the parameters: IP Address, Default
Gateway, and Subnet Mask.
