Pressing the <F9> key exits the variables editor.
If the "Exit var. editor" function is retrieved within an activated list,
the "Save" dialog box is retrieved when a comment has been edited
or if the list has been modified using "Edit online".
All the functions of the 1st level, with the exception of "Exit var. editor" and
"Options", have a subordinate F-key bar in which additional sub-functions are
grouped.
Options
Pressing the <F7> key opens an options dialog box.
Here, you can specify which variable types are to be displayed.
The settings in the options only influence the "General list" (i.e. the internal list
displaying all variables).
File
The current list is closed and the list containing all variables is opened.
Save The current list is saved; the values of the variables are not saved. The variables
editor remains open.
The current list can be saved under another name; the values of the variables
are not saved. The variables editor remains open. A "Save as..." dialog box
opens that can be used to navigate correspondingly.
In doing so, edited comments are saved.
The functions "Save" and "Save as..." are available only if a list has
been activated.
Print The active list can be printed. Before printing, all the variables in the list are
updated. The following columns are printed: name, value and comment.
The values of all the variables contained in the list are updated and are saved
in the list. This allows for loading these saved values back into the control sys‐
tem at a later point in time.
IN case of large lists, this may take a few minutes until all variables
have been read and saved.
"Exit all variables editors" is used to exit all open variables editors.
Edit Online
When this function is activated, communication with the control system is in‐
terrupted. Variables can now be added or deleted.
Functional key <F2> "Add line" can be used to add new lines to the list. New
lines are always written to the end of the list.
Press <F3> "Delete line" to delete the selected line.
Press <F3> "Insert line" to insert a blank line after the selected line.
Edit mode is terminated and communication with the control system is restored.
All visible variables are updated. When the variables editor is exited, changes
can be saved after confirming the "Save query".
