A dialog box for setting up the page appears, followed by the NC program in a
print preview. The number of pages per sheet can be set here. The zoom icon
can be used to adjust the size accordingly. The print dialog box can be closed
by pressing the "Exit" button. The <TAB> button is used to navigate within this
dialog box if no mouse is available.
Set up page:
The header and footer can be edited in the global options, which can be opened
under menu item Extras ▶ Options ▶ General ▶ Print. Currently, the following
variables can be used:
Current page number
Doc_Name
Doc_Type
Print_Date
Print_Time
Device_Name
Editor
The remaining variables are not processed.
To improve clarity, the meaning can be written in front of each variable.
Sample entry of a parameter: Date of printing:#PRINT_DATE#
In Add tool the entire data set is first edited offline, i.e. without accessing data
on the control. Only after the data set has been edited completely is the user
requested to decide whether he wants to transfer it to the control system.

When a new tool data set is created, the tool catalog for the new tool can be
used to select a tool type from a list of predefined tool types. If a basis data set
for this tool type exists in the catalog, it is used to initialize the data set. Detailed
information can be found in the following section.
In the case of "Edit tool", the modified data are immediately written to the tool
database of the control system. Therefore, there is no query as in Add.
As can be seen in
fig. 8-3 " Container layout of the tool editor" on page
tool editor is divided into a configurable number of display containers.
The number, arrangement, size and content of the containers can be config‐
ured; the content is defined using the assigned controls.
A separate F-key panel can be assigned to each control.
However, these panels cannot be edited in the F-key configurator; they can be
found in predefined F-key files.
