The variables are displayed in the main area of the variables editor.
List Storage and List Access
There are two types of variables lists:

Display of all variables that exist in the system
●
Display of a self-defined subset of variables
Display of all variables
An internal list of all existing variables is created. It is retrieved in operating
mode "Machine OP3".
Display of a Subset of Variables
If a subset of the existing variables is to be displayed, a variables list is edited
first. It is retrieved in operating mode "Program OP4", F-key "New", F-key
"Variables list". A self-edited list can be stored in the file system of the control
system. If this list is to be declared "active list" (a variables list is active if it
communicates with the control system and displays the current values of the
control system as variables values), this can be done using the F-key "Acti‐
vate" or you navigate to this list in the Navigator and activate it using F-key
<F7> "Variables functions", as well as using F-key <F2> "Activate Var-list" on
the next level.
The data type of a list can be recognized by the file extension of the list name
(*.var ).
By default, an active list (all variables or a subset) is always re‐
trieved in operating mode "Machine OP4" with F-key "Active varia‐
bles".
Navigation and Cell Selection
To enter a variable value, the desired entry cell of the value first has to be
selected as follows:

Click the mouse on the desired cell.

Navigate with the arrow keys until the desired cell is selected.
The selected cell can be recognized by the dark blue background color.
Editing values
Switching to the editing mode of the selected cell is carried out using one of the
following actions:

Entering a value or a character using the keyboard

Pressing the <Enter> key
– or –
●
Double-clicking the cell
