Creating a new Variables List
A new variables list can be created either using the MTX Navigator or with a
variables list editor that is already open.
1.
Select the directory in which the new variables list is to be created in the
MTX Navigator using the mouse or the arrow keys.

Press the <F2> "New" button and then press the <F6> "Variables list"
button in the lower level of the F-key bar.

In the context menu, select menu item NewVariables list.

Press function key <F8> to switch to the second F-key level and press
Editor
<F2> "File..." to switch to the file functions.

Press the <F2> "New..." key.
3.
Enter the name of the variables list. By default, an automatically generated
list name is shown here "VAR_ <time stamp>" (year/month/day_hour/mi‐
nute_second).
4.
Close the dialog box by pressing "Ok".
A variables list is created and is opened in the variables list editor.
Functions on the Main Level of the D-Correction Editor
Key <F8> can be used to switch between the 1st and 2nd levels of the F-key
bar.

Functional key <F2> "Add line" can be used to add new lines to the list. New
lines are always written to the end of the list.
Press <F3> "Delete line" to delete the selected line.
Press <F3> "Insert line" to insert a blank line after the selected line.
Pressing <F9> exits the variables editor.
Data that have not been saved are saved after the "Save" query has been
answered. If a newly edited file is exited, the "Save as..." dialog box opens after
the "Save query" has been answered. You can navigate to the desired storage
location.
All the functions of the 1st level, with the exception of "Exit var. editor" and
"Options", have a subordinate F-key bar in which additional sub-functions are
grouped.

The current list is saved. The variables editor remains open.
The current list can be saved under a different name. The variables editor re‐
mains open. The "Save as..." dialog box opens.
