Processing has to be interrupted before movement away from the
contour can occur!
Press the <Feed stop> button on the machine panel.
Processing of the partial program is interrupted. The position where the axes
come to a halt is called the point of interruption (1).
Press M-key <L8> "Program functions".
A new M-key level with the following functions appears on the left side:

Moving away and restarting <L1>
●
Block search <L2>
●
Re-entry <L3>
●
NC program restart <L4>
●
Return movement <L5>
●
Return <L8>
Press M-key <L1> "Moving away and restart".
The operating mode "Moving away from the contour" is displayed in the ma‐
chine status area
The position display has 3 columns:
●
"Target position"
●
"Point of interruption"
●
"Distance to go"
The active target position is used as the point of interruption.
A new M-key level with the functions for restart and inching options appears on
the left side.
A new M-key level with the corresponding axes for selection appears on the
right side.
The text "Move axes away from the contour using jog buttons" is displayed in
the status line.
Using the M-key, select the axes for the jog movement.
Select the inching option with the left M-keys.
The end point of the first jogging movement is saved as a preset setting point
for returning to the contour (2).
The move-away position is approached using additional jog movements. The
path is recorded as long as jogging continues. Each jogging movement is au‐
tomatically saved as an NC block in a return movement program (3).
Recording of the path is terminated using M-key <L2> "Return".
Starting now, any positions on the machine can be approached us‐
ing jogging movement without additional values being recorded.
Between moving away and returning, the work requiring an interruption of the
program (e.g. manual tool replacement) can be carried out.
The operating mode "Restart" is displayed in the machine status area
