Removing the System Board

To remove the computer's system board, perform the following procedure and refer to
Figures 4-25 and 4-26.
1. Turn off power to the computer, then disconnect the power cord and all external
cables connected to the computer.
2. Remove the computer's right-side panel (refer to section 4.2.2.), as viewed from the
rear.
3. Disconnect all cables from the system board, including power cables, data cables,
switch and LED cables, audio cables, and so on.
4. Remove any expansion cards, such as the modem card (refer to section 4.4.1.) and the
TV Tuner Card (Refer to section 4.5.1.), from the system board.
5. Remove the computer's rear bezel (refer to section 4.2.3.) and left-side panel (refer to
section 4.2.5.).
6. Remove the two 6/32x1/4 screws that secure the system board mounting plate to the
chassis. Slowly swing the plate outward from left to right. Slide the plate out of the
latches on the chassis. Lay the panel on a flat surface, system board facing up.
