Procedure 1
The purpose of this procedure is to determine if the resistance of the suspect switch measures
properly when the it is closed or open. To perform this procedure, perform the following
Check.
Check
(A) Disconnect the suspect switch from the system board. (B) Measure the
resistance between two pins on the switch.
If the resistance is correct, perform Procedure 3. If the resistance is not correct,
perform Procedure 2.
NOTE: Resistance between the two switch pins should be 0 ohms when the
switch is pushed in (closed).
Procedure 2
The purpose of this procedure is to determine if the suspect switch is defective. To perform
this procedure, perform the following check.
Check
(A) Replace the switch. (B) Perform Procedure 1.
Procedure 3
The purpose of this procedure is to determine if the switch operates properly when connected
to the system board. To perform this procedure, perform the following check.
Check
(A) Reconnect the switch to the system board. (B) Test to determine if the switch
operates properly.
If the switch operates properly, perform the Repair Completion Process. If the
switch does not operate properly, perform Procedure 4.
Procedure 4
The purpose of this procedure is to determine if the switch problem is caused by a defective
system board. To perform this procedure, perform the following check.
Check
(A) Replace the system board (refer to section 4.9.). (B) Test to determine if the
switch operates properly.
If the switch operates properly, perform the Repair Completion Process. If the
switch does not operate properly, contact Toshiba technical support.
LED Troubleshooting Process
This section describes how to determine if all four Infinia
properly. To perform this process, begin with Procedure 1 and perform the remaining
procedures as instructed. The procedures described in this section include:
