Check 4
(A) Verify that display-related drivers are properly configured (if necessary,
contact Toshiba technical support). (B) Determine if the screen satisfactorily
displays data.
If data displays satisfactorily, perform Check 3. If data does not display
satisfactorily, perform Check 5.
Check 5
(A) Adjust the display by using the monitor adjustment buttons (See Figure 2-3
for monitor button locations). (B) Determine if the monitor satisfactorily displays
data.
If data displays satisfactorily, perform Check 3. If data does not display
satisfactorily, contact Toshiba technical support.
Procedure 3
The purpose of this check is to determine if the monitor's cable is damaged. To perform this
procedure, perform the following Check.
NOTE: The data and speaker cables are attached to the monitor and are not
removable.
Check
Inspect the monitor's cables and connectors for damage.
If cables or connectors are damaged, repair them if possible. If they cannot be
repaired, perform Procedure 6. If cables or connectors are not damaged, perform
Procedure 4.
Procedure 4
The purpose of this check is to determine if the monitor can run a self check to resolve the
problem. The monitor's function switches (buttons) control the monitor's self test. See
Figure 2-3 for the position of these buttons and refer to Table 2-5 for button functions.
Before performing this procedure, complete the following instructions, then begin with Check
1 and continue as directed:
Disconnect the video cable from the computer.
Connect the monitor power cable to the wall outlet.
Turn the monitor on.
Push the Contrast and Brightness buttons to release them from the disabled
position.
Turn the brightness and contrast buttons to their maximum levels (full clockwise
position.)
Push the select button.
