Troubleshooting Process Overview
The flowchart shown in Figure 2-1 represents the Infinia™ troubleshooting process as a
whole and how the various processes relate to one another. Use this flowchart as a guide to
assist you in determining the appropriate process to perform.

Problem Definition Process
The purpose of this process is to help you determine the cause of reported system problems
and to refer you to the appropriate troubleshooting procedures necessary to correct these
problems. To perform this process, begin with Step 1 and perform the subsequent steps as
instructed.
Step 1
(A) Obtain a detailed description of the problem from the customer and analyze the
failure. (B) Perform Step 2.
Step 2
(A) Verify that the appropriate power cords are connected to the computer and to
the monitor. (B) Verify that the power outlet is operating properly. (C) Turn the
