3E-16 REAR SUSPENSION (2WD VEHICLE)
INSTALLATION
1) Install hub bolts.
Refer to FRONT WHEEL STUD INSTALLATION in SECTION
3D in the Service Manual mentioned in FOREWORD of this
manual for installation procedure.
2) For ABS equipped vehicle, check ABS wheel speed sensor ro-
tor for damage.
3) Install wheel hub assembly, washer and new spindle nut.
4) Tighten spindle nut to specified torque.
NOTE:
Removed spindle nut must be replaced with new one.
Tightening Torque
(a): 175 N·m (17.5 kg-m, 126.5 lb-ft)
1. Wheel hub
2. Spindle nut
5) Calk spindle nut securely.
6) Install spindle cap to wheel hub.
NOTE:
D When installing spindle cap, hammer lightly several loca-
tions on the collar of cap until collar comes closely into con-
tact with wheel hub.
D If fitting part of cap is deformed or damaged or if it is fitted
loosely, replace with new one.

7) Install brake disc, caliper, and wheel referring to REAR BRAKE
DISC INSTALLATION in SECTION 5.
8) Perform brake test.
