STEERING SENSOR
Steering sensor is installed in front of combination switch and con-
sists of signal generator (photo transistors and light-emitting
diodes) and signal rotor (slits plate).
As the signal rotor turns (i.e. the steering wheel turns), it causes the
light flux from the light-emitting diodes to be applied to the photo
transistors intermittently.
The photo transistors generate the voltages as shown in figure.
These voltage are sent to suspension control module. Receiving
these pulse signals (18 pulses/revolution), suspension control
module detects the steering wheel turning speed.
