Description
Linear friction is an additional friction loss component as a function of
speed. To account for varying loss at different speeds, there are 5
different offsets that can be entered; each one accounting for the
offset needed at the percentage of
proper adjustment of these parameters, use the following procedure.
Procedure 1
1. Place a full roll of product in the section.
2. Set
63.09
TENSION CTL ENABLE to "NOT SEL".
3. Ensure
03.13
ROLL DIAMETER is correct; if not, use the diameter
reset function to set the diameter.
4. Change to LOC mode on the keypad.
5. Set the keypad REF to 5% of

Note: In Unwind sections the friction offset should be entered as a
negative value. Since the web is pulled from the section, the friction
actually increases the amount of tension on the web. Therefore, less
tension torque is required.
Note: The linear friction should be adjusted to maintain +20% tension
