Operation
When solenoid is de-energized

Since the signal current does not flow from the
controller, solenoid (9) is de-energized.
For this reason, spool (10) is pushed to the left
by spring (12).
Since port (P) is closed to port (A), pressurized
oil from the main pump does not flow to the
actuator.
At this time, the oil from the actuator is drained
through ports (A) and (T) into the tank.

When solenoid is energized

As the signal current flows from the controller
to solenoid (9), solenoid (9) is energized.
Accordingly, spool (10) is pushed to the right.
This operation flows the pressurized oil from
the main pump, through port (P), via inside
spool (10), to port (A), and eventually to the
actuator.
At the same time, port (T) closes, the oil does
not flow to the tank.
