3. SETUP

● Windows Server
To set up Windows Server
1. Turn on this equipment.
®
Windows starts and prepares setup.
The message "Setup is installing devices. Please wait..." then appears, indicating that
device drivers are being installed.
• This processing might take several minutes. Wait until it is complete.
• Setup continues after the system restarts.
2. The Hi there window appears.
• Select a language to use and the setting items, and then click Next.
NOTE
The default time zone setting for this equipment is Osaka, Sapporo, Tokyo.
If you change the time zone, the system time of this equipment changes by the number of hours difference from
the Osaka, Sapporo, Tokyo time zone.
3. The License terms window appears.
• Check the contents, and then click Accept.
4. The Customize settings window appears.
• In Password, enter a password.
• In Re-enter password, re-enter the password.
Click
• Finish
• The system restarts.
NOTE
In the Customize settings window, even if you select Japanese as the language to use, the Windows keyboard
layout is set to the English keyboard by default.
For this reason, you will not be able to enter Japanese text even when using a Japanese keyboard, and symbols and
special characters will be entered from keys other than the ones that are marked as such on a Japanese keyboard.
If you want to use Japanese text, as well as symbols and special characters, in the password, first enter the value in
alphanumeric characters only, and then specify the value you want to use after setup is complete.
5. Sign in.
