NOTE
If an HDD for replacement is installed in the equipment before Not mounted appears, the HDD might not be
recognized. Wait until Not mounted appears.
6. Install the replacement HDD in the equipment.
(See 6.3.6 Installing and removing an HDD or SSD.)
The DRIVE status lamp blinks after a while and RAID1 rebuilding starts.
Starting the rebuilding manually
When the drive bay in which the replacement HDD is installed appears as OFFLINE in the Hardware
status window, enter the following command at the command prompt as an administrator:
C:\> raidctrl /REBUILD
The DRIVE status lamp blinks after a while, and RAID1 rebuilding starts.
NOTE
• If rebuilding does not start after about three minutes, the HDD or the equipment might be defective, or an HDD
that was used as a RAID1 array in other equipment might be installed. See 10.4.4 When a problem occurs
during recovery.
• After the HDD has been installed in the equipment, the drive bay status in the Hardware status window is as
follows until rebuilding is complete.
However, OFFLINE might not appear immediately after the HDD is installed.
