Common Safety Precautions
Carefully read and sufficiently understand the following safety precautions.
WARNING
• This equipment is not designed or manufactured for use in a life-critical system that requires
extreme levels of safety. If the equipment might be used for such a purpose, contact a sales
representative.
• In the case of smoke, a burning smell, or a similar problem, stop the supply of power to the
equipment, unplug the power cord from the outlet, and contact your supplier or maintenance
personnel. Using faulty equipment without repairing it might result in a fire or an electric shock.
• This equipment contains built-in hard disk drives. Do not hit the equipment or subject the
equipment to shocks or vibrations, because doing so might cause the equipment to fail. If you drop
the equipment or damage its chassis, unplug the power cord from the outlet, and then contact
maintenance personnel. Using faulty equipment without repairing it might result in a fire or an
electric shock. Do not subject the equipment to shocks when unpacking or carrying the equipment.

addition, use the Hitachi-brand dust filter.
