If any of the items does meet the requirement, power off the TE30 and take measures to
improve the environment. Ensure that the TE30 is used only when all the listed items meet the
requirements.

13.1.2 Checking the Cables Periodically

Preventive maintenance purposes, you need to check the audio, video, and communication
cables periodically.
Audio and Video Cables
Periodically (once a week is recommended) check that the cables connecting the TE30 to the
peripheral equipment and the power supply are securely connected.
Power on the TE30 test the cable connections. If any of the cables are loose, reconnect the
cables securely.
Communication Cables
Periodically (once a week is recommended) check whether the communication cables
connected to the TE30 work properly.
Power on the TE30 and call some other endpoints using different methods, such as calling
over a broadband network.



13.1.3 Viewing the System Status

To perform diagnostics against line connection, view the network connection status.
Use any of the following methods to access the Status screen and check the information:


Issue 01 (2013-03-27)
If a call is set up successfully, the communication cable works properly in the
corresponding mode.
If a call cannot be set up, check whether the cables are connected correctly and securely
and whether the communication parameters are set correctly. If the problem persists,
contact the videoconferencing network administrator to check the network.
Press on the remote control and select Status.
Select from the option bar.
