Removal and installation of cylinder head assembly
7. Install head cover (46).

Mounting bolt (45):
8. Install blow-by duct (47).

Blow-by duct mounting bolt:
9. Install fuel drain hose (46a).

Joint bolt: 24 ± 4 Nm {2.4 ± 0.4 kgm}
PC200, 200LC, 220, 220LC-8M0
24 ± 4 Nm {2.4 ± 0.4 kgm}
7 ± 2 Nm {0.71 ± 0.2 kgm}
Carry out the following installation in the

reverse order to removal.

a The internal parts of the hose adapter may be
damaged when the hose is removed. Accord-
ingly, do not reuse the adapter but use new
one when installing the hose again, as a rule.

Install muffler assembly (8) according to the follow-
ing procedure.
1. Sling muffler assembly (8), and set it to the
mounting position.

Whole circumference of (e) of exhaust
pipe (8a): Heat-hardening sealant
(FIREGUM manufactured by Holts or
equivalent)
2. Install muffler assembly (8) and exhaust pipe
(8a) loosely.
3. Install muffler assembly (8) and turbocharger
assembly loosely, then check the installing
position of them.
4. Install U-bolt (8c), and tighten nut (8d).

Nut (8d):
9.8 to 14.7 Nm (1.0 to 1.5 kgm)
5. Tighten turbocharger outlet port clamp (8e).

Turbocharger outlet port clamp (8e):
6.8 to 8.8 Nm {0.7 to 0.9 kgm}
6. Tighten seal clamp (8f).

Seal clamp (8f):
1st time: 39.2 to 49.9 Nm {4 to 5
kgm}
2nd time: 68.6 to 122.5 Nm {7.0 to
12.5 kgm}
a Be sure to replace the seal clamp (8f) with
the new one.
