Possible Cause
The multifunction pads are not mak-
ing proper contact with the patient.

or dried-out.

The volume is set too low.
The amplitude of the QRS complex
is too small to detect.
Failure in Pads ECG front end or
signal processing.

Operational Problems
Suggested Solution
Check that the pads are properly
applied. If necessary, prepare the
patient's skin and apply new pads.
Check the date code on the pads.
Do not open the pads package until
immediately prior to use.
Relocate or turn off equipment that
may be causing RFI.
Configure the QRS beeper to On.
Adjust the volume.
Adjust the size of the ECG.

Carefully reseat flex cables between
SpO 2 connector and SpO 2 PCA,
and between SpO 2 PCA and Inter-
