SOUND FIELD CONTROL
Active loudness |
The effect graphic equalizer pattern changes automatically depending
on the amplifier volume level setting. The lower volume level, the more
the bass and treble are boosted. If the volume level is raised, the graphic
equalizer has Jess effect.
You can still enjoy a powerful sound even at low volume levels.
Press ACTIVE LOUDNESS button to light | ACTIVE | indicator.
The original equalization curve and the active loudness curve will be
displayed for a few seconds. After this, it returns to display of the
settings made with DISPLAY CALL button.
Press ACTIVE LOUDNESS button again to cancel.
NOTE:
¢ There may be something that sounds like switching noise audible
when the equalizing pattern changes.
© /f the sound is recorded by other components (DAT, VCR, etc.), the
effect, as heard through the speakers, will also be recorded, so be
careful,
Therefore, it is recommended that active loudness be turned off when
recording with other components.
Random equalizing 4
This applies an equalization setting at random, so you never know what
kind of tonal quality you will hear.
Press RANDOM EQUALIZING button.
"RANDOM" will appear on the display for a few seconds.
The automatically set equalizer characteristics curve will be displayed
for a few seconds.
Then the display will return to the setting selected with DISPLAY CALL
button.
This is canceled if EQUALIZING CONTROL buttons or ACTIVE
LOUDNESS button is operated.
When you want to use it just as a graphic equalizer.
1. Press SOUND EFFECT button to turn off the ''EFFECT"' indicator
and 'EQ ON" indicator.
2. Press EQUALIZER button so that the 'EQ ON" indicator lights.
You can now use this as a graphic equalizer.
Operate with the equalizing control switches.
Changing the parameters by manual operation 'il
You can manually adjust the three basic parameters of the sound field
(WIDTH, DEPTH, RVRB).
1. Use sound field selector buttons to call up a sound field, then use
SOUND JOG dial to adjust.
2. Use MANUAL SELECT button to select the parameter that you with
to adjust.
¢ A line appears in the display under the name of the parameter
which can be adjusted.
3. Use SOUND JOG dial to adjust the level of the effect parameter.
© Repeat steps 2 and 3 to adjust each of the three parameters.

| Compensation physiologique active
La structure de |'égaliseur graphique d'effet change automatiquement
en fonction du réglage du niveau de volume de |'amplificateur. Plus le
niveau de volume est bas, plus les graves et les aigués sont accentuées.
Si le niveau de volume est augmenté, I'égaliseur graphique a moins
d'effet. Un son puissant peut étre apprécié méme aux bas niveaux de
volume.
Appuyer sur la touche ACTIVE LOUDNESS pour faire s'allumer
Vindicateur :
La courbe d'égalisation originale et la courbe de compensation
physiologique active sont affichées pendant quelques secondes. Puis
l'affichage revient aux réglages effectués avec la touche DISPLAY CALL.
Appuyer de nouveau sur la touche ACTIVE LOUDNESS pour annuler
l'effet.
REMARQUES:
¢ /1se peut que des sons comme des parasites de commutation soient
audibles lorsque fa structure d'égalisation change.
° Si le son est enregistré par d''autres composants (DAT,
magnétoscope, etc.), l'effet, tel qu'il est entendu par les enceintes,
est également enregistré. I! faut donc prendre des précautions.
// est donc recommandé de désactiver la fonction de compensation
Physiologique active lors d'un enregistrement avec d'autres
composants.
Egalisation aléatoire
Elle applique un réglage d'égalisation aléatoirement; fa qualité acoustique
entendue n'est donc jamais connue.
Appuyer sur la touche RANDOM EQUALIZING.
"RANDOM" apparait pendant quelques secondes sur I'affichage.
La courbe caractéristique automatiquement régiée de |'égaliseur est
affichée pendant quelques secondes.
Puis l'affichage revient au réglage sélectionné avec la touche DISPLAY
CALL.
Cette fonction est annulée si les touches EQUALIZING CONTROL ou
la touche ACTIVE LOUDNESS est utilisée.
Pour une utilisation comme égaliseur graphique
seulement
1. Appuyer sur la touche SOUND EFFECT pour éteindre I'indicateur
"EFFECT" et l'indicateur 'EQ ON".
2. Appuyer sur la touche EQUALIZER de sorte que I'indicateur ''EOQ
ON"' s'allume.
Cet appareil peut alors étre utilisé comme égaliseur graphique.
Le régler avec les touches de commande d'égalisation.
Changement des paramétres par opération manuelle
Les trois paramétres de base du champ acoustique (WIDTH, DEPTH,
RVRB) peuvent étre ajustés manuellement.
1. Utiliser les touches du sélecteur champ acoustique pour rappeler
un champ acoustique, puis utiliser le cadran SOUND JOG pour
l'ajuster.
2. Utiliser la touche MANUAL SELECT pour sélectionner le paramétre
& ajuster.
¢ Une ligne apparait sur l'affichage, sous le nom du paramétre qui
peut étre ajusté.
3. Utiliser le cadran SOUND JOG pour régler le niveau du paramétre
d'effet.
e Répéter les opérations 2 et 3 pour régler chacun des trois
paramétres.
