Storage The 2-way server blade can be fitted with up to two 3.5" SCA2 SCSI
capacity hard disk drives with a capacity of 18, 36, 73 or 146 GB. This allows
a maximum hard disk capacity of a server blade of 292 (2x146) GB in
a RAID-0 configuration. Generally, however, the two disks are
mirrored in a RAID-1 configuration. The 2-way server blade has a two-
channel Ultra320 SCSI onboard controller with HostRAID function-
ality.
Security Basic error recognition and correction in the main memory with ECC
functions (ECC memory modules only).
Password for system, setup and keyboard.
Write protection for floppy disk drive.
Notification Notification on system status, selection, hard disk activity, LAN
connection status.
BIOS Phoenix BIOS, 4-Mbit boot block flash memory.

I/O module
Switch blade 10/100/1000TX, Accton/Broadcom L2 switch, 10x
downlink + 3x uplink, external 3x RJ45 jack, max. 2x per blade
server, one switch blade is part of the base configuration of the
BX600 Blade Server.
Fibre Channel pass-through blade, 10x connectors for
GBIC/SFP modules, max. 2x per blade server. FC pass-through
blades are optional. If a server blade is to offer Fibre Channel
functionality, it must have at least one FC pass-through blade
installed.
Fibre Channel GBIC/SFP module. 2Gbit with up to 300 m
distance, 1 Gbit with up to 500 m distance; max 10 SFP modules
per FC pass-through blade.
