Removal and Installation Routines
Ê Lock the processor into the socket by returning the socket lever to its original
position.
Ê Clean the surface of the processor using a lint-free alcohol wipe (e.g.
CleanTex TexPad 801, available in specialist stores).

Never touch the processor core.
The processor sets the clock frequency automatically. It cannot be
i
changed manually.
Installing the processor heat sink
!
– To install the heat sink, the heat sink compound must be intact.
– Never install a processor without a heat sink, otherwise the processor
may overheat and fail along with the system board.
Ê Apply a thin layer of heat sink compound to the underside of the heat sink.
Ê Now press the heat sink carefully onto the processor and screw the four heat
sink screws tight.
