Configuration with ten PRIMERGY BX620 S2 server blades
A PRIMERGY BX620 server blade offers an onboard LAN controller with two
LAN channels and a slot for an optional gigabit Ethernet I/O module with two
additional LAN channels.
The Gigabit Ethernet pass-thru blades in slots 1 and 2 provide connections to
channels A and B of the onboard LAN controller of the server blade. The
following figure shows the port assignment in a configuration with ten
PRIMERGY BX620 server blades.

The Gigabit Ethernet pass-thru blades in slots 3 and 4 provide connections to
the A and B channels of the optional gigabit Ethernet I/O modules. The ports
in a configuration with ten PRIMERGY BX620 server blades are assigned
according to the same pattern.
Configuration with five PRIMERGY BX660 server blades
A PRIMERGY BX660 server blade offers two onboard LAN controllers with two
LAN channels each, and two slots for optional gigabit Ethernet I/O modules with
two additional LAN channels each.
