Troubleshooting
One of the fans has Failed
Even though the system can continue operating without one of the fans
included in the rear fan module, you should:
Ê Exchange the defective fan module within a reasonable amount of time
(see page
Switch blade voltage fails
The failure LED of the switch blade lights up if there is a general error there.
Ê Check the switch blade's failure LEDs to identify the defective unit.
Ê If the switch blade is still indicated as defective, replace it (see
02-BX600-106).
Server switches itself off
Server management has detected an error
Ê Check the error list in the ServerView software or the error log file with the
SCU utility and try to eliminate the error found (see manual „RemoteView
Management Blade").
Screen remains dark
Monitor is switched off
Ê Switch on the monitor
Ê Switch off the monitor.
Monitor power cable or data cable not connected
Ê Shut down the operating system and switch off the monitor and the
server.
Ê Check that the power cable is correctly connected to the monitor and the
grounded power outlet.
Ê Check that the monitor cable is correctly connected to the server and the
monitor (in case a plug is available). If a separate graphics card is
installed in the server, the monitor cable must be connected to the
connector on this graphics card.
