Preparation

When working with systems and boards, make sure you observe the

safety information in the module „General information".
If you do not want to carry out hot-swap operations, please shut down the
operating system, switch off the server, and unplug all power plugs.

The Server Blade

Removing or Installing Server Blade Dummy Modules

All unoccupied slots in the blade server system are fitted with dummy modules
to ensure that the electromagnetic emission properties of the system are
observed and that the system components are properly cooled.
Before adding a server blade to a new mounting location, you must remove the
dummy module from the relevant slot.
