Fibre Channel Daughter Card

Depending on the desired configuration, server blades can be equipped with a
Fibre Channel (FC) interface. For this purpose a server blade provides a propri-
etary PCI X 64-bit expansion slot for an FC daughter card.
An FC daughter card provides two independent 2-GB serial Fibre Channel
ports. The serial FC I/O interface goes through the midplane of the BX600
system unit to FC pass-thru blades in the rear.

Electrostatically discharge yourself by touching a grounded object before

handling the components. Be aware that electrostatic-sensitive devices
(ESDs) should only be held at the edges and placed on a pad which is
free of electrostatic charge.
Any devices or tools that are used must be free of electrostatic charge.
For this purpose wear an electrostatic wristband or use a suitable
grounding cable that connects you to the external chassis of the system
unit.
