4-way server blade: RAM

The PRIMERGY BX600 4-way server blade offers four memory banks with two
184-pin DDR slots each. A memory bank can accommodate two DDR SDRAM
modules (PC2100 registered) with 1 GB, 2 GB or 4 GB combined memory. This
allows a maximum memory configuration of 16 GB.
One memory bank is occupied in the base configuration.
Make sure you observe the correct sequence when installing memory
!
modules in the banks! The memory banks must be fitted in descending
numerical order (3-2-1-0), see figure above. If memory modules of
different capacities are used, the modules with the higher capacity must
always be installed in slots with the lower slot numbers.
Example: If two 512 MB SDRAM memory modules and two 1 GB
SDRAM memory modules (a total of 3 GB RAM) are to be installed in a
4-way server blade, the 1-GB SDRAM modules must be installed in bank
2 and the 512-MB SDRAM modules in bank 3.
The DDR SDRAM modules are installed and removed in the same way
i
as in the 2-way server blade, see
