The CPU dummy cover is installed over the unused CPU socket and is held in
place by clips (1) that are installed into the first two memory slots next to it. The
purpose of the cover is to protect the CPU socket area and block the
unavailable memory slots from use with two elements (3). In addition, the CPU
dummy cover comes with an additional foam (2) that directs the airflow and
allows you to avoid unexpected thermal conditions.
