4.3.6 "MIDDLE/LOWER PAPER EMPTY"

Is the actuator of the Optional paper empty
sensor damaged?
2 Is the actuator of the Optional paper size
sensors damaged?
3 Select SENSOR TEST in the test mode.
(Refer to page 11-20.)
When the Optional recording paper tray
loaded with paper is inserted into the ma-
chine dose Bit 8-10 (Lower data: Middle-
row) or Bit 4-6 (Lower data: Lower-row)
change?
4 Is the cable firmly connected between the
Optional paper size sensor in the Optional
paper tray and the Optional tray PBA
(CN3), between the Optional tray PBA
(Lower-row) (CN1) and the Optional tray
PBA (Middle-row) (CN2), between the
Optional tray PBA (Middle-row) (CN1) and
the Mother PBA (Lower-row) (CN20), be-
tween the Mother PBA (CN24) and the
Main PBA (CN12)?
5 Select SENSOR TEST in the test mode.
(Refer to page 11-20.)
When the Optional recording paper tray

Is the cable firmly connected between the

tional tray PBA (Lower-row) (CN1) and the
Optional tray PBA (Middle-row) (CN2),
between the Optional tray PBA (Middle-
row) (CN1) and the Mother PBA (Lower-
row) (CN20), between the Mother PBA
(CN24) and the Main PBA (CN12)?
When no problem is found in steps above,

the PBA's may be defective.

Check points
Replace the Optional paper empty sensor.
Replace the Optional paper size sensors.
When the bit changes, go to step 5.
Insert the cable to the connector firmly.
When the bit changes, go to step 7.
Insert the cable to the connector firmly.
Replace in the order of: Optional tray PBA,
Main PBA, Mother PBA.
