4.5 Recording Paper Feed Error

4.5.1 Main Motor does not Rotate
Step
1 Is the cable firmly connected between the
Main motor and the Mother PBA (CN3),
between the Mother PBA (CN24) and the
Main PBA (CN12)?
2 When no problem is found in the step
above, the Main motor or the PBA's may
be defective.
4.5.2 Recording Paper Feed Error
(1) Recording paper does not feed
Step
1 Does the Paper pickup solenoid drives
normally.

Is the cable of the Paper pickup solenoid
firmly connected to the Mother PBA
(CN13, 17) or Optional tray PBA (CN4)?

Are any of the gears of Pickup roller or
the Feed roller damaged?
4 Are any of the gears in the Feed gear as-
sembly damaged?
5 When no problem is found in the steps
above, the Paper pickup solenoid or the
PBA's may be defective.

Check points
Insert the cable firmly to the connector.
Replace in the order of: Main motor assem-
bly, the Main PBA, Mother PBA.
When it drives normally, go to step 3.
Insert the cable firmly to the connector.
If any is damaged, replace it.
If any is damaged, replace it.
Replace in the order of: Paper pickup so-
lenoid, Main PBA, Optional tray PBA,
Mother PBA.
