2.5 PCL Print
With the optional GA-1020 (PCL PBA) installed, this machine can be used as a PCL6 printer.
(1)
A command in PCL6 format sent from the PC is input to the GA-1020 through the PC I/F
PBA and converted to raster data. Then the raster data is serially transferred to the PTC
interface of the PTC GA (IC45).
For a print resolution of 300dpi or under, go to step (2).
For a print resolution of 600dpi, go to step (3).
(2)
The raster data is serially transferred to the EET (IC39) where it is smoothed. Then the
raster data is serially transferred to the PTC interface of the PTC GA.
(3)
The raster data is converted to print data by the PTC interface and sent to the LSU. The
LSU is driven according to the received print data for printing on the recording paper.
