Comparing and possibly changing version numbers
When creating a drive device, the current firmware version is always suggested. It is
possible that the suggested firmware version does not match the version number of your
memory card in the drive device. If the version numbers do not match, it will not be
possible to subsequently go ONLINE. Therefore, please observe the following notes:
• Observe the version number displayed in the drop-down list "Version" (to the right in

If the "Open device view" checkbox is activated, the device view is opened automatically
in Startdrive when creating the drive.

Inserting a drive unit via the portal view
Insert new drive units either in the portal or the project view.
Proceed as follows to insert devices in the portal view:
1. In the navigation, click "Devices & networks".
2. Click "Add new device" in the secondary navigation.
The detailed view opens, and the data for adding new units is displayed.
3. Click "Drives" to display the drives available.
4. Select the required drive unit from the list, and if required, enter a different unit name in
the input field "Unit name" (at the top left) (default: "Drive unit_x").
