Information about inserting an infeed unit
Generally, the infeed is inserted while configuring directly after the drive in the device view.
In this case, the infeed is automatically wired to the drive (X100).
If you insert the infeed unit at a later point in time (e.g. after the Motor Module), then the
infeed unit is not automatically connected to the drive. In this particular case, the standard
interface X100 intended for the infeed unit is already occupied (e.g. with the Motor Module).
This is the reason that the device configuration must be changed manually.
The following options are available to manually change the device configuration.
● You can wire the infeed manually to a free interface (see Section "Editing a DRIVE-CLiQ
connection (Page 95)").
● You can change the wiring of the drive object that is currently linked to X100 of the drive,
to a different interface. X100 would then be free again and when the infeed is inserted, it
is automatically linked to X100.
Note
Handling components in the device view is subsequently explained using an infeed as
example. The procedure is identical for all other components.
Procedure
You insert an infeed using the hardware catalog
1. Open "Line Modules" in the hardware catalog.
Active Line Modules, Basic Line Modules and Smart Line Modules can be selected.
2. Select the unspecified infeed in the hardware catalog.
