Functionality

Global base values function (GBASVAL) is used to provide global values, common for all applicable
functions within the IED. One set of global values consists of values for current, voltage and apparent
power and it is possible to have six different sets.
This is an advantage since all applicable functions in the IED use a single source of base values.
This facilitates consistency throughout the IED and also facilitates a single point for updating values
when necessary.
Each applicable function in the IED has a parameter, GlobalBaseSel, for selecting one out of the six
sets of GBASVAL functions.
