For LOADTYPE = "Power transformer" or "Coupled transformer", dynamically determined target
making angles may also be read from the inputs LD1CLANLx or LD2CLANLx. The source of
making targets to be applied is selected by the CloseStrategySrc and InputSelect settings in
combination with the EXTSTGY input.
For all other load types the function disregards the setting CloseStrategySrc and operates only on
the user-defined target settings.
Target making instants (defined by settings or input signals) are defined as phase angles relative to a
positive-going voltage zero crossing in L1 phase (reference phase). Although the zero-crossing time
stamps are received for individual phases, all the further calculations thereafter are made w.r.t their
own phases. Since the target making instants for phase L2 and phase L3 given by the user to this
function are specified relative to the phase L1 making target, the function internally converts them
into target making instants w.r.t their individual phases as elaborated below.
Example 1; If CloseTargetL1 = 90°, CloseTargetL2-L1 = 120° and CloseTargetL3-L1 = 60° and if the
phase sequence is L1-L2-L3, then the target making angles calculated from their respective phase
signals as follows:
Target making angle for phase L1 (based on phase L1) = 90°
Target making angle for phase L2 (based on phase L2) = (90° + 120°) - 120° = 90°
Target making angle for phase L3 (based on phase L3) = (90° + 60°) - 240° = -90°
The target making angles defined externally or by the user via settings are available as outputs
STCLANGLx from the function. The STCLANGL1 output value refers to L1 phase positive going
zero-crossing.
