Function description
Binary status signal to analog
conversion
10.3.2

Functionality

The binary status signal to analog conversion BINSTSAN function evaluates the equivalent analog
value for a combination of eight binary input signals that show the status levels of analog quantities.
The output signal value is used for further processing in other functions.
There are three modes which can be used to calculate output signals:
1 of n: only one of the inputs can be set to high. If more than one input is high, an error is
detected and the output value is set to the default output.
Incremental: inputs can go high sequentially and the output value is a sum of the scaled input
values. If the inputs are not going high sequentially, an error is detected as the inputs are invalid
and the output value is set to the default output.
Summation: one or more inputs are high in a random order and the output is the cumulative sum
of the scaled input values.
