POWER Switch

U se the POWER switch to turn
P ow er On
P ress the POWER switch on the front of the computer chassis.
The POWER/SLEEP lamp lights in green.
IMPORTANT:
If the power cord is connected to a power control device such as a UPS (Un
Supply), make sure that the power control device is powered.
If the power cord is connected to the server, an initial diagnosis of the hardware starts. The
POWER switch does not work while in diagnosis. Wait for about 10 seconds, then press the
P OWER switch.
D o not turn off the server until characters following a full-screen logo appear on the screen.
T he time until the characters appear depends on your system configuration. Approximately, it
may take three to five minutes.
