3. At the ILP touchscreen, feed the web through the press with priming as follows:
a. Press RUN.
After the light goes off, press RUN again.
The system initializes including the filling up of the priming trays and the engage and
rotation of the priming rollers.
A ready message appears.
b. Press RUN again, and hold it.
While the web is running, check if it is wet from the priming unit.
Check if the system in general is operating properly.
Testing the printing engine
For each printing engine:
1. In the Diagnostics>Elements Ink Flow tab perform the following tests:
NOTE:
Ink Pump
Solid System
Add IMO
BIDs
BID Motor
2. In the Elements tab perform the following tests:
Scorotrons
Cooler
ITM
Make sure to turn all units OFF after testing.
Click ON each pump and make sure that it works
Click ON Compressor. Open each valve (ON) and check
compressed air flow at each ink can holder
Click ON each valve and listen for the valve click in the ink cabinet
Engage and disengage each BID and check for smooth movement
Click ON each motor and make sure that the BID turns
Click ON Fan and make sure that the scorotron blowers work
Click ON Suction and make sure that the suction fan works
Click ON Valve and listen for the click at the reservoir
Click ON Fan and make sure that the blower in the blower cabinet
works
Click ON Lamp 1 and then Lamp 2 and make sure that the lamps
go ON
Click ON PTE and make sure that the PTE lamp goes ON
