Testing printing engine voltages
CAUTION:
For each printing engine:
1. Remove the scorotrons from the press.
2. In the Diagnostics>Scorotron Corona tab:
a. Set all three corona levels to 6000 V.
b. Click ON Corona 1-3.
c. Check the voltage readings of all the scorotrons.
The readings should be 6000 ±300 V.
d. Click OFF Corona 1-3.
3. Reinstall the scorotrons.
CAUTION:
4. In the Adjustments>Transfer ITM Elements tab:
a. Set ITM voltage to 400 V.
b. Click ON Voltage.
c. Check the ITM voltage reading.
It should be 400 ±20 V.
d. Click OFF Voltage.
Click On Engage and Disengage and make sure that the scorotron
moves smoothly up and down
Air Suction should be always ON and the ITM suction fan should be
working
Click ON Feed Fan and make sure that the input air fan is working
Click ON Exit Suction and make sure that the exit air knife is
working
Click ON while in both Inching and Normal modes and check for
smooth movement. When finished testing set to Normal and OFF
Check Cleaning Station motor in normal mode
Do not activate corona voltage when scorotrons are
installed. In this case, sparking results.
Do not touch the ITM drum or blanket during this
procedure.
