working
7-10
Maintenance, Troubleshooting, and Repair
Possible Cause
Web Access Portal
configuration setting was not
enabled
Possible Cause
• If CareVue is set up as a
redundant server system, and
the primary server fails, the
HL7 export does not work
• CareVue client and
hostnames are incorrect in
the HL7 configuration
• Information Center is
running in local database
mode
• CareVue client SDN/Id and
LBN values do not match
across products
Action
Enable the Web Access Portal configuration
parameter in the Network Configuration screen
of the Config Wizard. See "Network
Configuration" on page 6-24.
• Check Export Log Files for messages
• Hospital Bandwidth utilization may be
affecting transfers. This utilization can be
modified via the tools provided. See
"Patient Data Transfer - Bandwidth
Utilization" on page 7-75.
Note—Decreasing the bandwidth utilization
for the hospital LAN increases the time
required to complete the transfer of patient
data.
Action
• Bring CareVue server back online. If it cannot be
brought back up, remove it from the HL7 target
client list.
• Correct the HL7 configuration parameters that are
set in Config Wizard -> Network Configuration -
> HL7 Settings. See "Network Configuration"
on page 6-24.
• Reconnect the Information Center to the Database
Server by pressing the Press Restart Network
button on the Information Center.
• Verify settings and re-configure if necessary. See
"Equipment Setup" on page 6-35
