Module H/W (Module Height/Width) :
Specifies the height and width of module which compose a symbol.
QR code: 0.050 to 1.000 mm
Setting Range
DataMatrix code: 0.001 to 1.000 mm

• If the size of module is same as or very smaller than that specified at "4-11 Laser Setting" (P.214), the module inside the
encode area may not be marked uniformly. In this case, enlarge the size of the module or narrow the line.

Code Data :
Specifies the data to be coded.
For input characters, refer to "Code Type and Code Data" (P.190).
When the code data is set in the several strings, they are connected together without linefeed to create the code
data. This linefeed can be applied only to the human readable text of the GS1 DataMatrix.
Reference
• This product supports Format 06 (Macro 06) of ISO15434 for
DataMatrix.
• For GS1 DataMatrix, the control code "FNC1" is automatically inputted
at the head of the code data. When inputting AI "01" followed by
13-digit numerical character, the check digit (modulus10/weight 3-1) is
inputted automatically at the next digit.
• For DataMatrix, group separator (FNC1 or GS) of variable length AI
data is not inputted automatically.
Press the Symbol button on the Data Input screen and then press
FNC1 or GS on the Symbol Input screen.
In the standard, it is recommended to use FNC1 as the separator of
variable length AI data.
• When the code data is set by the serial communication (RS-232C/Ethernet) command "BCS", select "GS" or "FNC1"
as the separator of variable length AI data beforehand in "4-16-3 Communication, I/O Setting (Environment 3)" (P.261).
