Open the rear discharge of the cutting unit to help cool the cutting unit motor.

Step 3: Check for any mechanical interference.

Contact with the cutting reels or other moving parts can result in personal injury.
Keep fingers, hands, and clothing away from the cutting reels or other moving parts.
Never attempt to turn the cutting reels by hand while the engine is running.

Raise and support the operator's seat and the hood.
3.
Separate system components from the 48 Vdc battery pack by unplugging the 48 Vdc battery disconnect.

Check the cutting unit and the cutting reel motor for any mechanical resistance, and make sure that
the reels are free of any foreign debris.
5.
Check for proper bedknife adjustment and the overall condition of the reel; adjust the bedknife if it is out
of alignment (see the applicable Cutting Unit Operator's Manual).
6.
Connect the 48 Vdc battery disconnect and run the machine to see if the fault repeats.
Pass
The fault did not repeat. Go to
Fail
The fault repeated. Go to Step 4.
