Replacing a Toro Electronic Controller (TEC)
There are three procedures in this section that you must accomplish as part of replacing a TEC.
1.
Use Toro DIAG to save the machine timers and counters file out of the machine. (page 26)
2.
Replace the TEC-5002. (page 26)
3.
Use Toro DIAG to Program the TEC-5002. (page 27)
Use Toro DIAG to save the machine timers and counters file out of
the machine.
Save the timers and counters file (the TD2 file) out of the machine and then later restore it into the replacement
TEC so that none of the machine information (e.g., running hours, etc.) is lost.

Reformatting section of the Toro DIAG User's Guide.
4.
Disconnect the Toro DIAG cable from the CAN diagnostic port.
Replace the TEC-5002.

Remove the 6 fasteners that secure the outer cover to the control arm

Loosen the fastener that secures seat harness connector P75 to the TEC-5002 and unplug the connector
