Fault 60: Main Contactor—Closed
InfoCenter Display:
Fault Description
The main contactor closed fault indicates a failure associated with control of the 48 Vdc contactor. The
motor/generator monitors the 48 Vdc bus in an effort to detect failures of the contactor or the contactor control
circuit. The motor/generator measures voltages on both sides of the contactor. Faults occur when the voltages
are supposed to be different, but they are the same.
Circuit Description
The main contactor exists in the 48 Vdc system to connect the 48 Vdc battery pack to the motor/generator and
cutting reel motors. The motor/generator controller determines when the main contactor is closed.
