Pass There is no resistance (0–5 ohms) between wire ends. Go to Step 4.
Fail There is high resistance or open between wire ends. Repair or replace all damaged wire. Go to

Step 4: Test the DC alternator.
Refer to the Briggs and Stratton DC alternator output performance test in the Engine chapter of the
Greensmaster TriFlex 3320/3420 Service Manual.
Pass The alternator DC output performance test passed. Repeat the diagnostic process.
Fail The alternator DC output performance test did not pass. Replace the DC alternator as shown in the
Engine chapter of the Greensmaster TriFlex 3320/3420 Service Manual. Refer to
Machine to Service (page
