Fault 16: High Temperature Warning –
Starter/Generator

Fault Description
This fault is reported when the controller temperature exceeds 90 °C (194 °F). If the 90 °C threshold is reached,
the fault is reported and the current being sent to the motor is limited on a linear basis unless a temperature of
120 °C (248 °F) is reached. If either the controller or the S/G motor reach 100 °C, the unit is shut off.
Note:
This fault is not produced by a bad sensor.
Circuit Description
Greensmaster TriFlex Hybrid machines use the S/G to supply 48 V to the cutting reel motors and to charge the
48 V battery pack. The S/G is air cooled, and has its own on-board controller.
Recommended Service Actions
Step 1: Verify that the fault repeats.
