control
excessive
loudness
resulting
from close proximity
to a
Central
Office
or PBX telephone
office
by
providing
a -3db signal level drop to, or from,
the PBX or Central
Office when set to the 3
position.
Switches
are factory-set
to the 0
(Odb signal level drop) position.

If
the
DK280
cabinets
(DKSUB280
and
DKSUE280
or DKSUE424)
are within one mile of
the PBX or Central Office, set the RCOS db PAD
switches SW501, SW601, SW701, and SW801 to
the 3 (-3db signal
level drop) position.
Set the
RCOU db PAD switches to the 3 position also.
Note:
RCOU male connectors
Pll,
Pl2, P13, and
P14 are positioned
to allow installation
of the
RCOS only in the proper position.
