1. Stop an application to use an internal disk.
2. Remove the hardware RAID.
3. Identify whether the problem is related to the disk.
4. If the problem is not solved, replace all disks used for the hardware RAID.
5. Reconfigure the hardware RAID.
6. Restore data from a backup media.
Restrictions on active/hot addition of SPARC
M10-4S
Active/hot addition of SPARC M10-4S is not supported at present. Perform
inactive/hot addition.
For the procedure for inactive/hot addition, see "8.2.1 Active/hot addition" in the
SPARC M10 Systems Installation Guide and read Step 10 as follows:
10. Stop the relevant PPAR from the master XSCF and perform cable check.
a. Execute the poweroff command to stop the PPAR into which SPARC
XSCF> poweroff -y -p ppar_id
b. Execute the diagxbu command to perform cable check.
XSCF> diagxbu -y -b XX -t YY -t ZZ

Restrictions on replacing crossbar box

Replacement of a crossbar box using the replacefru(8) command is not supported at
present. To replace a crossbar box, perform the following procedure:
1.
Execute the showhardconf command to confirm that the crossbar box to be
replaced is not the master cabinet.
The crossbar box indicated as "Role:Master" is the master cabinet.
XSCF> showhardconf
:
XBBOX#80 Status:Normal; Role:Master; Ver:2038h; Serial:2111206001;
:
M10-4S to be added is incorporated.
Specify the PPAR number of the destination PPAR in ppar_id.
XX specifies the added BB-ID. YY and ZZ specify BB-IDs that were
incorporated into the PPAR you stopped in Step a.
