The ports on the manifold are marked for easy identification of components and
connections. Example: P is the pressure connection port from the switch kit
hydraulic pump, and S1 (SV1) is the location for the tank (return) solenoid valve;
refer to the hydraulic schematic in
of the hydraulic lines and cartridge valves at each port.
For cartridge valve service procedures, refer to
Valve (page 5–87).
The hydraulic manifold include several zero−leak plugs. These plugs have a
tapered sealing surface on the plug head that is designed to resist vibration
induced plug loosening. The zero−leak plugs also have an O−ring as a
secondary seal. If removing a zero−leak plug is necessary, lightly rap the plug
head using a punch and hammer before using a hex wrench to remove the plug:
the impact will allow plug removal with less chance of damage to the socket head
of the plug. Tighten the plugs to the torque value provided.
If the hydraulic fittings are to be removed from the manifold:
1. Mark the fitting orientation for assembly purposes.
2. Remove the fittings from the manifold and discard the O-rings.
3. Lubricate and install new O-rings to the fittings.
4. Align and install the fittings into the manifold and tighten the fittings to the
specified torque; refer to
